‘Midnight, Texas’ Season 1 Spoilers: Episode 7 Synopsis, Trailer Released
A fellow angel (Breeda Wool) is after Joe (Jason Lewis) in Season 1, episode 7 of “Midnight, Texas.”
According to the synopsis for next week’s episode of the NBC series, the visiting angel is actually a bounty hunter tasked to find Joe and punish him for leaving the angelic fold.
In the trailer for the episode, the bounty hunter comes to the church and seemingly asks the Rev (Yul Vazquez) about Joe’s whereabouts. But when the Rev appears to refuse to tell her where Joe is, the “corrupted” angel hurls him against the window.
The bounty hunter then heads to Home Cookin’ diner and holds everyone inside hostage, including Creek (Sarah Ramos) and her fellow waitress, Madonna (Kellee Stewart). Madonna confronts the bounty hunter but ends up being hurt.
In an attempt to save the hostages and stop the bounty hunter from killing Joe and his husband Chuy (Bernardo Saracino), Manfred (François Arnaud) executes a very dangerous plan with the help of Fiji (Parisa Fitz-Henley), Olivia (Arielle Kebbel), Bobo (Dylan Bruce) and Lem (Peter Mensah).
As to what their plan is, Bobo says in the trailer that they working out a way to send the bounty hunter to hell. While it’s unclear how exactly they’re going to do that, it seems that the effort will cost the Rev the most. A portion of the episode synopsis reveals that the Rev refuses to compromise the safety of his neighbors and it costs him dearly.
In Season 1, episode 6, Joe finally outed himself as a fallen angel to his close friends. But because he used his “light” to save Creek (Sarah Ramos) from her murderous brother, Connor (John-Paul Howard), Joe told the Rev that someone will be coming for him.
Interestingly, at the end of the episode, Joe left Chuy a message. “You need to know that it’s not safe for you in Midnight anymore,” he told his lover. “If they find out who you are, they’ll kill me.” Clearly, Chuy isn’t just a manicurist. So what he could actually be?
“Midnight, Texas” Season 1, episode 7, titled “Angel Heart,” airs on Monday, Sept. 4 at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC. Watch the trailer for the episode below:
