Mila Kunis Calls James Franco A 'Sadist' In New 'Oz the Great and Powerful' Interview
Ukrainian actress Mila Kunis has worked with “127 Hours” star James Franco several times and has known him for years. Now, Franco's "Oz the Great and Powerful" co-star Mila Kunis has revealed that the 34-year-old jack-of-all-traits might be a sadist.
The actress has known him for seven years now, ever since they worked on “The Hills with James Franco and Mila Kunis.”
"I think we've done eight films together," she said to MTV about Franco. "I'm used to this."
Before working on “Oz,” they last appeared as a romantic couple in the 2010 Steve Carell and Tina Fey comedy "Date Night."
While MTV was speaking to Kunis during a press day for "Oz," she even brought two film students to observe him. That’s when Kunis made a joke about his "drive" actually being closer to "sadism."
"I don't know James otherwise," she said. "He's one of the most driven human beings on the planet, and I think if he had to stand still, he wouldn't know what do to with himself."
She went on to explain that his busy schedule is due to the way he sees the world and is able to find beauty and art in almost anything.
"He loves to share and experience and explore, and everything he looks at as art," Kunis said. "From that felt on the floor he thinks is an art piece to that poster -- everything is art to him."
“Oz the Great and Powerful” is set to hit theaters this Friday with Franco as the Great and Powerful Oz and Kunis as Theodora/The Wicked Witch, a role she describes as a woman scorned.
