  • Cyrus and Cody Simpson remain good friends after their split

Miley Cyrus got candid about her sexual encounters and revealed one lie she told her ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth, regarding her experience in a new interview.

On Friday, the "Wrecking Ball" singer opened up about her intimate experiences on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast with host Alexandra Cooper.

"I didn’t go all the way with a dude until I was 16, but I ended up marrying the guy," Cyrus said, referring to Hemsworth. "I lied and said he wasn’t the first so I didn’t seem like a loser. … It was a lie I held onto for 10 years."

Cyrus confessed that she had been intimate with girls before she met Hemsworth. The "Hannah Montana" alum said that she had been attracted to girls long before she realized that she liked the opposite sex as well, revealing that she had intimate encounters with her female pals growing up.

"The first time I ever hooked up with anyone was with a girl — two of them," she recalled, before revealing that she went "past first base" with them.

"My wig was snatched at, like, age 11. What were you doing?" Cyrus added.

Cyrus and the "Hunger Games" star had an on-again, off-again relationship. They secretly married in December 2018, nine years after meeting on the set of their movie, "The Last Song."

However, Cyrus and Hemsworth's marriage only lasted for less than a year. They split in August 2019 and finalized their divorce in January.

Cyrus went on to date Brody Jenner's ex-wife, Kaitlynn Carter, for a month, before moving on with Cody Simpson. The "Malibu" singer and Simpson recently called it quits after 10 months of dating.

Cyrus, however, stressed that they have been good friends for a long time and will continue to be pals after their split.

"For right now, two halves can’t make a whole, and we’re individually just working on ourselves, becoming the people that we want to be," she told fans on Instagram Live on Thursday. "Like everybody else at this age, we’re just deciding who we want to be with our lives, what we want to do with our lives.

"And so, don’t make it some drama story if next week we hang out and we’re getting pizza," she continued. "We’ve been friends for 10 years, and we’re going to continue to be friends. Just don’t make it something that it is not."

Prior to Cyrus and Simpson's split, a source told Entertainment Tonight that their relationship was "unexpected and became meaningful very quickly."
