Miley Cyrus Allegedly Using Cody Simpson To Make Liam Hemsworth Jealous; Ex-Lovers Aren't 'Single' Yet

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s divorce had been messy. The “Isn’t It Romantic” actor filed for divorce in Aug. 2019 after photos of the “Hannah Montana” star kissing Kaitlynn Carter made rounds online. Reports have it that the controversial snaps were, actually, the very thing that inspired Liam to make their split official.

“Even though Miley and Liam were separated for a while before she was photographed making out on the yacht with Kaitlynn, once Liam saw those photos, he decided it was time to file for divorce,” a tipster said, per E! News. “That was it for him, seeing those photos and then all the Soho House stories thereafter,” it went on.

Though Miley Cyrus is already moving on with Cody Simpson, there have been speculations saying that she is still "obsessed" with Liam Hemsworth. In fact, the “Slide Away” singer, allegedly, tried to make her ex-husband jealous. NW Magazine, in its Jan. 27, 2020 issue, reported that Miley posted a sexy snap of her and Cody working out together just a few days after Liam’s birthday on Jan. 13.

The reports about Liam moving on with model Gabriella Brooks, reportedly, did not sit well with Miley. This, according to rumors, is the primary reason why she is trying to eat “The Hunger Games” actor's heart out. “It was a pathetic attempt to make Liam jealous – posting it around his birthday was so lame,” an unnamed source told the entertainment news publication.

The outlet even suggested that Miley Cyrus is planning a “random run-in” with Liam at Byron Bay. “She’s under this delusion that Liam will see her draped around Cody and melt into a puddle of jealousy,” the source claimed. “Poor Cody’s just a pawn in her game. Honestly…Penn Badgley would be impressed by her ‘You’ levels of deceit,” it continued.

Miley Cyrus has yet to comment on NW Magazine’s report. So, avid followers of Cody Simpson's girlfriend should take these speculations lightly.

Meanwhile, the “Wrecking Ball” songstress stepped out two days after her divorce from Liam was finalized. HollywoodLife.com reported that Miley was spotted in L.A. on Thursday. During the sighting, Cody’s ladylove sported a black t-shirt, a pair of bootleg jeans and a black belt. She completed her ensemble with a pair of stiletto leopard boots.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s divorce was finalized earlier this week after, approximately, five months messy battles. However, the ex-lovers are not officially “single” yet since the judge postdated their status until Feb. 22.
