Miley Cyrus called her short-lived marriage to Liam Hemsworth a "f–king disaster" while helping a couple get engaged at her concert.
The "Wrecking Ball" singer, 29, was performing at Lollapalooza Brazil Saturday when she invited a couple on stage for their special moment, Us Weekly reported.
After congratulating the newly engaged couple, Cyrus wished them well on their future together before reflecting on her own brief marriage to Hemsworth.
"Honey, I hope your marriage goes better than mine," Cyrus teased. "Mine was a f–king disaster."
The "Midnight Sky" singer and the "Hunger Games" actor, 32, experienced many ups and downs in their relationship before they got married and ultimately got divorced.
Cyrus and Hemsworth first got engaged in June 2012, three years after they met on the set of their movie "The Last Song." They split in 2013 but reconciled three years later in January 2016.
Their split reportedly made Hemsworth realize something about their relationship.
"[Liam has] never met anyone quite like her who has that hold on him," an anonymous source told Us Weekly in 2016. "He realizes she was growing up and experimenting; he took a step back and gave her time to do that. Miley's always had a special place in his heart."
They later quietly tied the knot in front of their close friends and family in December 2018 after their Malibu home was destroyed during the California wildfires.
"I would say that losing the house changed us much more than getting married changed us," Cyrus told Vanity Fair in 2019. "When you experience what we experienced together with someone, it is like glue. You're the only two people in the world who can understand."
However, their marriage did not last long. They split again less than a year after they tied the knot. Their divorce was finalized in January 2020.
In a December 2020 episode of "The Howard Stern Show," Cyrus opened up about her marriage to Hemsworth, saying that "there was too much conflict" between them and admitting that they rushed into marriage after the Malibu wildfires.
"When I come home, I want to be anchored by someone," she said. "I don't get off on drama or fighting."
The pop star also confirmed that her song "WTF Do I Know" was about her ex-husband. She clarified that she meant the line "I don't even miss you" when she wrote it, explaining that one goes through a mix of emotions after losing someone.
"Sometimes you miss people more than others, and sometimes, things get easier. Time kind of heals all, but that was at a time where I felt really strong. And then some days I don't," Cyrus explained.
Hemsworth has been dating Gabriella Brooks since December 2019.
Meanwhile, Cyrus is "happily dating" her new boyfriend Maxx Morando, the drummer for alternative rock band Liily. They enjoyed a romantic vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, last month, E! News reported.
