Miley Cyrus To Escort Floyd Mayweather Jr. To The Ring For His Next Fight? Boxer Talks About 'Twerk Queen'
Floyd Mayweather Jr. is one of the biggest names in professional boxing, and he wants nobody but the best by his side when he walks to the ring. So it may not come as much of a surprise that the 36-year-old stated that Miley Cyrus may be the next star to walk with him at his next fight.
Cyrus has become one of the most-searched celebrities on the Internet after her raunchy VMA performance last month with Robin Thicke, where she performed “Blurred Lines.” Wearing latex underwear, she twerked on the 36-year-old and left little to the imagination. Her music video views have since sky-rocketed, with her latest music video, "Wrecking Ball,” accruing 19.3 million Vevo views in one day after its release.
"I was thinking about letting the twerk queen Miley Cyrus bring me out, why not?," Mayweather told Billboard while at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas over the weekend.
Mayweather most recently beat Saul “Canelo” Alvarez at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, earning him his 45th win without a loss, as well as a reported $41.5 million paycheck. He always has celebrities walk him to the ring, most notable, 50 Cent, Justin Bieber and Lil Wayne.
When asked why he chose Bieber, who has struggled in the media lately due to antics including peeing in public, the boxer said, "When you're the best, you only want to surround yourself with the best. He's an exceptional artist. He's the future."
