‘Mindy Project’ Alum Adam Pally Arrested For Marijuana, Cocaine Possession Amid Show’s Cancellation
“Mindy Project” alum Adam Pally was recently arrested for marijuana and cocaine possession.
According to People, a spokesman from the New York Police Department confirmed that the actor was seen smoking marijuana from an e-cigarette in public. Pally was immediately arrested and upon inspection, they discovered he also had a small amount of cocaine on him. The 35-year-old actor was charged with two counts of misdemeanor.
Following his arrest, the actor was granted a desk appearance ticket which allowed him to leave the precinct after his arrest was processed. However, the father of two will still be required to go to court sometime in June.
Meanwhile, Pally’s arrest came just a day after Hulu announced the return of “Mindy Project” for its sixth and final season. The new installment starring Mindy Kaling will premiere sometime in September.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kaling shared how Mindy’s life will change now that she’s finally married. “The final season is the final time – it’s the best time – to confront what that reality is for her. And really, we’ve put her through the ringer. It’s hard. I’m a romantic at heart. I believe that marriage is like, a sacred relationship, and I really like it, but I’m also single myself, so I see every side of it. It’s going to be really fun to explore,” she said.
When asked if she knows exactly what she wants to happen in the finale, Kaling said that she has a vision. But whether or not it will actually happen in the last five minutes of the show is something she hasn’t decided on. “I haven’t figured that part out yet. But I want to do something surprising,” she said.
“The Mindy Project” Season 5 airs Saturdays on Hulu.
