Minka Kelly Denies Rumors She Is Dating Demi Lovato's Ex-Boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama

Minka Kelly has finally addressed rumors that she's dating Wilmer Valderrama.

In an interview with Power 106's J Cruz and Krystal Bee, the actress said that she and Demi Lovato's ex are not romantically involved. Kelly said that Valderrama is a “good person” and any girl would be “lucky to have him” but maintained that they are just friends.

The “Friday Night Lights” actress also cleared up reports claiming she and the actor dated in 2012 while Valderrama was on a break from his relationship with Lovato.

“It's funny – he's not my ex,” Kelly said. “We are good friends, and we always have been. We're not exes!”

The actress also said that she understands that people are going to make speculations about her personal life because it comes with the territory of having a job in Hollywood. Kelly added that if she does get into a relationship, she will definitely be open about it and people would know.

Rumors about her and the actor started swirling when they were spotted having dinner in L.A. together. After the outing, the two were photographed jetting off to Mexico for a vacation, according to the Daily Mail. Onlookers said the two were affectionate of each other. Some sources who were supposedly close to the two also said that they are an item.

Meanwhile, Lovato reportedly posted a tweet that may have been alluding to Kelly and Valderrama's romance. The message was posted a day after Kelly and Valderrama were photographed together at Palm Thai restaurant in Hollywood.

“You have to be capable of being honest with yourself before you can get honest with other people,” the “Cool For the Summer” singer said.

Lovato and Valderrama ended a 6-year on-and-off relationship in June. Meanwhile, Kelly dated baseball player Derek Jetter from 2008 to 2011. They reunited in 2012 but called the relationship off for good.
