Miranda Kerr Shares Details From Her May Wedding To Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel
Supermodel Miranda Kerr tied the knot with Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel in May, but it is only now that she is sharing details about the momentous occasion.
While speaking with Vogue, the former Victoria’s Secret model revealed that she wore a Dior haute couture wedding gown that was appliqued with lilies. Kerr, who wore a long-sleeved dress to her union with Spiegel, also shared that she was inspired by Grace Kelly’s iconic gown from her 1956 wedding to Prince Rainier of Monaco.

“A dress that fully covers you creates a sense of purity and mystery. I’ve had a lot of fun with fashion, and I used to be more wild, free, bohemian. But in this period of my life, my style is more pulled back. My greatest sources of inspiration have always been Grace, Audrey Hepburn, and my grandmother, who at 80 has an effortless chic: a nice pant, a white blouse, a scarf, a little heel,” she said.
Spiegel proposed to Kerr in July 2016. Just months after, Orlando Bloom’s ex-wife got the chance to meet with Dior’s first female artistic director, Maria Grazia Chiuri. The artistic director agreed to create Kerr’s wedding dress, her first bridal gown for the fashion house.
Chiuri spoke with the same publication and said that she didn’t have a hard time designing Kerr’s wedding gown. “I have to be honest – she’s not a difficult fit. She wanted something like a fairytale, and she gave me this idea, to make a dress that was emotional and simple at the same time,” she said.
Kerr and Spiegel’s intimate wedding was held at their home and was only attended by approximately 45 guests. The supermodel’s 6-year-old son, Flynn, served as their ring bearer. She shares Flynn with ex-husband Bloom, according to People.
In May, Bloom spoke with Mirror UK and said that they struggled to take care of their son separately at the start of their divorce. But things have become easier recently as they got used to it. “And now, things have settled nicely, everybody is in a good place,” he said.
