‘Mission: Impossible 6’ Release Date Announced! Find Out When Tom Cruise’s Movie Hits Theatres
Paramount Pictures announced the release dates for several films on Tuesday, including when Tom Cruise’s movie “Mission: Impossible 6” will hit theaters.
The next installment of Cruise’s “Mission: Impossible 6” will release on July 27, 2018. The studio has confirmed that the actor will be in the upcoming installment of the gravity-defying movie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 54-year-old closed a deal to headline the thriller film after he and the studio were involved in several contentious discussions. In fact, Paramount Pictures ceased preproduction of the next “Mission: Impossible” film during this time.
In addition to Cruise reprising his role as IMF (Impossible Missions Force) Agent Ethan Hunt, the star will also serve as a producer for “Mission: Impossible 6.”
The director of the last aired movie of the franchise – “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation” -- Christopher McQuarrie will also direct the upcoming action movie. He has already written the script for the sixth installment. Rebecca Ferguson will be reprising her role as former MI6 Agent Ilsa Faust.
The last movie of the franchise saw retired agent Hunt and his team take down the Syndicate by becoming a rogue agent. The Syndicate was a group of international criminals, assassins and rogue agents that were responsible for most of the terrorist attacks in the world. Hunt had to not only prove the existence of such an agency – the CIA did not believe such an agency existed – and take down the organization at any cost.
Right now, very little is known about “Mission: Impossible 6” since it is in its preproduction stage. However, as shooting for the sixth movie begins, fans will get to know the full cast list, plot details and locations.
“Mission: Impossible 6” hits theatres on July 27, 2018.
