‘Mistresses’ Season 4 Spoilers: ‘Gilmore Girls’ Alum David Sutcliffe Joins Cast; What Character Will He Play?
A “Gilmore Girls” alum is about to stir up some drama for our favorite ladies when “Mistresses” returns with its fourth season May 30. According to media reports, David Sutcliffe, who portrayed Rory’s father Christopher on the long-running series, will make his way to the ABC show to play the role of another heartthrob.
TVLine revealed that Sutcliffe has been cast in the mystery soap as the character Adam, an easy-on-the-eyes sweet talker who happens to chat his way right into Karen’s (Yunjin Kim) heart — or, at least, that’s what he believes.
According to the outlet, David will fall head over heels for the newly single Karen “after connecting with her on an online dating site.” But the description of David’s character teases that it’s not Karen who he’s been chatting with online. Could that mean April (Rochelle Aytes) or Joss (Jes Macallan) created a dating profile for Karen without her knowing about it? That may explain why she has so many potential suitors in Season 4 of “Mistresses.”
In addition to David, who will play a major recurring role in the coming season, another newcomer will be drawn to the new mom: Karen’s manny. Jerry O’Connell will guest star in the first four episodes as the sexy caretaker of Karen’s baby.
Audiences got a sneak peek of the chemistry between Karen and her babysitter in a promotional video when her employee attempts to lean in for a kiss. Caught off guard, Karen shoves her book, titled “Unleashed,” in his face as she tries to prevent him from giving her a kiss on the lips. But April and Joss feel like that was a mistake after spotting photographs of the hot shirtless babysitter online.
Tune in to the Season 4 premiere of “Mistresses” on ABC Monday, May 30, at 10 p.m. EDT to see who Karen locks lips with in the new installment.
