‘Mix Up In The Mediterranean’ Hallmark Movie Premiere: Trailer, Synopsis, Cast
Hallmark Channel’s “Love Ever After” programming event continues with the premiere of their newest original film, “Mix Up in the Mediterranean,” starring Jessica Lowndes and Jeremy Jordan.
The film is going to be an exciting one cast-wise, because it marks Jordan’s first film for Hallmark Channel, and to add to the excitement, he is pulling double duty with two roles. He could still be familiar to the most loyal Hallmark fans of course since he previously worked in the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film “Holly & Ivy.” He may also be recognized for his work as Jamie Wellerstein in “The Last Five Years,” Jimmy Collins on “Smash,” and Winn Schott on “Supergirl.”
Ad for Lowndes, she is no stranger to Hallmark fans. After starring as Adriana Tate-Duncan on “BH90210,” she went on the Hallmark and starred in the films “Merry Matrimony,” A “December Bride,” “Yes, I Do,” “Christmas at Pemberley Manor” and “Over the Moon In Love,” as well as the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries film “Magical Christmas Ornaments.” Other titles have included movies on Lifetime, such as “A Deadly Adoption,” “A Father’s Nightmare,” “Rediscovering Christmas” and “Too Close For Christmas.”
Even more exciting is that this film will be the first one where these two star together. So, what can fans expect? Jordan’s dual role sees him playing twin brothers—so plenty of hijinks will ensue.
“Josh (Jordan) is content in his small Alaska hometown, cooking at the diner his parents once owned and dreaming of the day when he can take it over again,” a synopsis reads. “But when his twin-brother, acclaimed big-city chef Julian (also Jordan), injures himself, Josh agrees to pretend to be Julian in order to compete in one of the most elite culinary competitions in the world.”
Of course, what he doesn’t account for is that he might find some romance while abroad—but the confusion over his identity will bring a whole new slew of problems.
“There he meets Meg (Lowndes), the ambitious organizer of the contest who is eager to prove herself with her first big event,” the synopsis continues. “Feelings start to develop between them, but the situation is complicated by the fact that Meg thinks Josh is his brother Julian, who is married.”
When Meg ultimately learns the truth, will Josh be able to save his romance?
“Mix Up in the Mediterranean” premieres Sat. Feb. 20 at 9 p.m. EST on Hallmark Channel.
