‘Mobius Final Fantasy’ PC Requirements Revealed: What You Need To Run Square Enix’s Free-To-Play RPG
As promised, “Mobius Final Fantasy” arrived on Steam this Monday, Feb. 6, more than a week after it was announced that the PC version of the free-to-download mobile game is launching early February. For interested players, the system requirements to run Square Enix’s free-to-play RPG on PC have also been revealed.
As stated on its own Steam page, the minimum OS requirement for the RPG is listed as Windows 7 with 64-bit architecture. Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 — both 64-bit only — are also recommended for this game. When it comes to processors, the game works well with Intel Core 2 Quad 2.66GHz or higher and Core i5 2.4GHz or higher. A dual-core 1.6GHz Intel or AMD processor would also suffice.
Graphics-wise, Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 series or GeForce GTX 750 or higher as well as ATI Radeon HD 5770 512MB or higher are recommended. The minimum requirement, on the other hand, is the Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT or the GeForce GT 240. The ATI Radeon HD 4770 512MB is also acceptable. “Mobius Final Fantasy” works best when the computer has 3 GB of RAM, but 2 GB is still doable.
Square Enix indicated that the game requires 10 GB of space and a DirectSound-compatible sound card. The Japanese developer and publisher pointed out as well that the new game does not have support for touchscreen input devices as of this time.
Unlike the mobile version, the PC game has higher resolution. It is even compatible with 4K resolution screens and performs well with 60 frames-per-second. As for the gameplay, players won’t find changes at all because the PC version has the same gameplay as the one found on the mobile RPG. In fact, saved data on the mobile game can be carried over to the Steam variant, as per Eurogamer.
Meanwhile, Square Enix has already announced the crossover event between “Final Fantasy VII Remake” and “Mobius Final Fantasy.” The crossover is set to happen on Tuesday, Feb. 7, and there is already confirmation that the powerful Sephiroth will be making an appearance, as reported by RPG Fan.
