‘Modern Family’ Star Julie Bowen Confirms Sarah Hyland, Wells Adams’ Relationship Status?

Julie Bowen may have just confirmed the real status of Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams’ relationship.

While speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the Baby2Baby Gala over the weekend, the “Modern Family” star was asked whether or not she’s met Hyland’s rumored boyfriend. The actress, who plays the role of Haley’s (Hyland) mom, Claire, in the ABC series, said that she hasn’t met Adams. “I can only say I was in on the ground floor of the flirting,” she joked.

“He seems lovely, he seems like a really nice guy and he treats her really well. She’s happy as can be. That’s all you want for your daughters, fake or real,” she said.

Last month, reports swirled that Hyland has been hanging out with “The Bachelorette” alum. A source told People that the rumored couple has known each other for quite some time now. They have gotten close recently and even spent Halloween together. They dressed up as the characters from Netflix’s hit series, “Stranger Things.”

In one of the photos uploaded by Hyland on her Instagram account, she gave Adams a kiss on the cheeks. Before “hanging out” and “flirting” with Adams, Hyland was a in a relationship with “Shadowhunter” star Dominic Sherwood. The couple announced their split in August via a joint statement.

But last month, Hyland also said that she’s still very much single. This supports the source’s statement that she and Adams are still in the flirting and getting to know each other stages.

Meanwhile, Hyland also made headlines recently after she claimed that her “Modern Family” character, Haley was bisexual. Fans of the actress were happy with the revelation, but Hyland was quick to clarify that she only thinks Haley is bisexual, but has not been told by the writers and directors if she really is.

On her Twitter account, the 26-year-old said that her big reveal was only based on her personal opinion.

She and her co-star, Bowen, appear in episodes of “Modern Family” Season 9 every Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. EST on ABC.
