‘Modern Family’ Star Sarah Hyland Is ‘Hanging Out’ With ‘Bachelorette’ Alum Wells Adam: Report
“Modern Family” star Sarah Hyland might have a new beau on the horizon. The actress is dating “Bachelorette” alum Wells Adam, People Magazine reported Sunday. The duo dressed up together for Halloween, wearing matching “Stranger Things” costumes. Their coordinating outfits sparked rumors of romance.
“They’ve been friends for a while and now they’ve been hanging out and spending more time together,” a source told People, adding, “They’re flirty.”
They have been “seeing each other for months,” a source added to Us Weekly Sunday.
Hyland, 26, took to Instagram to share pictures of their Halloween party. She dressed as Gaten Matarazzo’s character, Dustin, and Adams dressed as Millie Bobby Brown’s character Eleven.
“Demogorgons. They chill as f---. #beefsquashed #strangerthings#happyhalloween,” Hyland captioned one photo. “#strangerthings have happened #happyhalloween” she wrote in another.
Hyland made headlines in 2014 when she accused ex-boyfriend Matt Prokop of being abusive.
The actress filed for a restraining order against Prokop, claiming she feared for her life. “On Sept. 19, 2014, Ms. Hyland obtained a Domestic Violence Temporary Restraining Order against Matthew Prokop, ” her lawyer told Us Weekly at the time, adding the “documents filed speak for themselves.”
Hyland reportedly claimed Prokop pushed her against a car during an argument. He supposedly called her a “c—t” and choked her. “His grip was so tight that I could not breathe or speak. I was scared and in fear for my life,” she reportedly said.
Prokop wasn’t happy when she moved on to her next boyfriend, Dominic Sherwood. After Hyland and Sherwood got matching tattoos, Prokop took to Twitter.
“Never make permanent decisions based on temporary feelings,” Prokop wrote.
He continued, “I’ll be honest. It hurts like hell watching someone you care about slowly ruin their life. When you can’t do anything to help. #FallenAngel”
