A woman died, and her two children suffered burn injuries in India after the current released from a charging mobile phone flowed through their iron cot.

The incident took place in Saharanpur district in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh on Feb. 19, media reports said Thursday.

The two children, identified by their first name Sana and Aaris, were given primary treatment at the health center, and later referred to the district hospital, News Track Live reported. The children, aged 5 years and 8 years, were currently said to be in stable condition.

The mobile phone brand was not revealed by the local police.
