Fans of “The Muppets” have heard by now that Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog have broken up, and they’ve already found rebounds. While “Castle” star Nathan Fillion was seen leaving what looked like a steamy hookup in Miss Piggy’s trailer, Kermit has been seeing someone a little less famous. Denise the Pig is his rumored new girlfriend, and there are a few things fans should know about her.

1. Businesswoman – She’s the head of marketing at ABC. Unlike Miss Piggy, Denise doesn’t have dreams of superstardom…or does she? Her Twitter makes it seem like she’s enjoying all this attention.

2. They Might Not Be Exclusive – Kermit released a statement claiming that Denise is not officially his girlfriend. “It is true that I am dating again,” Kermit wrote. “However, at this time no one woman—pig or otherwise—is my official ‘new girlfriend.’ We are simply close friends.” Could Denise be a casual fling? Or is Kermit waiting to figure out his feelings before labeling their relationship?

3. Distraction – Working with someone you’re dating has its downsides. It looks like Denise might be distracting Kermit while he is on set for his new ABC comedy, “The Muppets.”

4. A Younger Pig – When Kermit was asked about Denise on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, the frog addressed their age difference. “She’s old enough, but not as old as she could be,” Kermit said.

5. Miss Piggy Supports Her – Denise claims that Miss Piggy is taking the high road. Kermit’s ex called Denise and told her that she thinks they’re an “adorable” couple.

Though it’s worth noting that Kermit’s ex told the audience at “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” that they could “boo” at Denise’s picture.

Fans will learn more about Denise in “The Muppets” Season 1, which documents the making of Miss Piggy’s new late night show at ABC. “The Muppets” premieres Tuesday at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
