‘My Grown-Up Christmas List’ Hallmark Movie Premiere: Trailer, Synopsis, Cast
It may be the heat of the summer, but things are actually getting cool and festive over on Hallmark Channel thanks to the Christmas in July lineup. The event, which began with a marathon of fan-favorite holiday movies on July 1, will debut its first new premiere of the 2022 lineup, “My Grown-Up Christmas List.” The film, which stars Kayla Wallace and Kevin McGarry, airs Saturday night.
The movie will be a treat for fans not only because it’s a holiday film, but because they are certainly familiar with the stars, who have both previously starred in the film “Feeling Butterflies,” but have also starred on “When Calls the Heart” as Fiona Miller and Nathan Grant. Fans may also recognize Wallace from her role in “Once Upon A Prince.”
As for McGarry, fans may also recognize him from his roles in “Love at First Bark,” “A Song for Christmas,” “Winter Castle,” “Winter Love Story,” “Christmas Scavenger Hunt,” “The Wedding Veil” and “The Wedding Veil: Legacy.”

“Taylor, a successful journalist, has returned home after her mom’s passing a few years prior to help her grandfather with his Christmas store. And Luke has just returned home from military duty to spend the holidays with his family,” a synopsis for the film reads. “When Taylor and Luke meet, their chemistry is undeniable, and we follow them along their journey from a warm friendship to a budding romance.”
The two experience challenges as they try to make a romance work, but they also know that they have what it takes to commit to a real relationship together—one that will allow them to be together for the rest of their lives.
“They work together to overcome any challenges that arise and commit to making the most important wish on their Christmas list come true—to spend every Christmas together to for the rest of their lives,” the synopsis concludes.
“My Grown-Up Christmas List” airs Saturday, July 9 at 8 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel.
