‘My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising’ Star Praises The Film’s Fight Scenes, Calls Them Gratifying

“My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising” opened with great numbers on the box office. After Funimation released the film in the U.S. and Canada, fans of the anime have been thronging theaters to watch Class 1-A in action and have particularly praised the fight scenes
Clifford Chapin, who has voiced Katsuki Bakugo, spoke with Comicbook and stated that “My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising” has some of the finest fight scenes.
“I do think [these are] some of the best fights that the series has had to date. The fights in this movie are to the next level. We see all the characters from 1-A get to have a moment, which is really cool,” the actor said.
He stated that, as an audience member, the fight scenes look “very gratifying.” He further applauded the choreography.
The movie takes Class 1-A to Nabu Island where they finally get a chance to do real hero jobs. However, the place is quite peaceful and the heroes feel that they are on a vacation. Later, they are attacked by a villain with an infinite quirk. With All Might enjoying the post-retirement life, it all comes down to Class 1-A to deal with one of the strongest villains. Deku and his classmates are Nabu Island’s only hope.
According to Box Office Mojo, “My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising” opened in 1,172 theaters and racked in $5,875,420 on an opening day.
Colleen Clinkenbeard, the Audio Dialogue Replacement (ADR) director for both the movie and anime series sat with Variety. He talked about the craze in the U.S. when it comes to “My Hero Academia.”
“I think that “My Hero” has a lot of things going for it. It’s one of those shows that hits on all of the fronts and makes it the perfect storm to take the fandom by storm. One thing: it’s about superheroes. Who doesn’t love superheroes?” Clinkenbeard said. He added that while the superheroes genre is getting saturated, these are superheroes depicting a different culture and that makes it interesting.
