‘My Mom’s Letter From Heaven’ Lifetime Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis
After starring together in UPtv’s short-lived 2017 sitcom, “Date My Dad,” Barry Watson and Cindy Busby are reuniting for a new Lifetime movie, “My Mom’s Letter from Heaven,” which premieres tonight.
Inspired by a true story, the film centers on single father Connor (Watson) and his teenage daughter. The two have had a strained relationship since the passing of Connor’s wife, Libby (Busby), but everything starts to improve when they find a letter she’d written to her daughter.
“It’s all about relationships, and when you love somebody, you want to work with them,” Busby told TV Goodness about reuniting with the “7th Heaven” actor.
The “Heartland” alum added: “To work with Barry again in such a different story and as different characters…It’s such a beautiful, moving story, and it’s heart-wrenching and it’s a story of grieving and growing together. I’m very excited for people to see it and I think people are going to see Barry in a beautiful, vulnerable light. He’s so talented. I was just blown away.”
Directed by Michael Scott and written by Lisa Di Trolio, the movie also includes Jaime M. Callica (Alex), Karen Holness (Maggie), Jordyn Ashely Olson (Zoe), Aidan Correia (Liam), Anita Brown (Rachel), Jasmine Miriguay (Jenny), Emma Oliver (Young Zoe), Heather-Claire Nortey (Hannah) and Beverley Breuer (Rosalind) in its cast.
Catch the premiere of “My Mom’s Letter from Heaven” when it airs on Lifetime on Saturday at 10 p.m. EDT.
