Meanwhile, a book catches her attention, and when she opens it, a dazzling green light fills the room. She is swallowed by the book.

Later, in “My Next Life as a Villainess” episode 8, Maria and Mary try to open the mystical book that swallowed Catarina and look for her.

In the previous episode of the anime, the first part revolves around Sophia and Atsuko Sasaki. The emotional segment showcases the bond between these two characters.

The last scene of the two parting ways fills the heart and reveals why Catarina got in the “Fortune Lover” game.

Atsuko dies in a tragic car crash on her way to school. Her last message to Sophia, “Acchan, I can’t conquer the black-hearted, sadistic prince!”

She vows that she will carry on in the new world that Atsuko gave her, and if her life ends, she wants to be friends with her again.

Sophia wakes up and tells Catarina about her dream. She tells her that it was a sad dream about something that happened long ago.

Meanwhile, Catarina, Sophie, and others have their practical exam. In the exam, the students have to explore the ancient ruins.

It is said that in the deep ruin, a great magician once lived, and there is a stone with magical powers. The team that brings the stone back will pass the exam. The test is similar to a treasure hunt.
