'Nancy Drew' Season 2, Episode 2 Spoilers; Teen Detective's New Love Interest Revealed

The mystery of the ghost of the Agleaca will continue in "Nancy Drew" Season 2, Episode 2. The Drew Crew is not yet ready to move past the events of the last season, while the spirit is still out there haunting them with the visions of their deaths.

Based on the popular children's book series of the same name, the second installment of CW's latest teen drama "Nancy Drew" is returning this week with Kennedy McMann reprising the titular role. She will be joined by her gang including Ned, Bess and Ace as they solve a terrifying mystery that brings them face to face with ghosts at the Horseshoe Bay. Wrongfully executed Agleaca is now enraged and all her spirit desires are blood and revenge.

The second episode of the second season is titled "The Reunion of Lost Souls" and it will see the Drew Crew carving out a plan to battle the supernatural spirit who wants to kill them. Meanwhile, Nick's mother is in town and she is not going to be pleased to meet George. In another important development, Carson and Ace open up to each other.

"Nancy (Kennedy McMann) and the Drew Crew continue to search for clues to battle the Aglaeca. Meanwhile, George (Leah Lewis) has an unfortunate first encounter with Nick’s visiting mother. Lastly, Carson (Scott Wolf) and Ace (Alex Saxon) have a heart-to-heart," reads the official synopsis for "Nancy Drew" Season 2, Episode 2.

The new season will introduce a new love interest for the teenage detective. Amidst all the chaos, Nancy is going to meet Gil Bobbsey as portrayed by Praneet Akilla. Gil is "one half of a new version of the iconic Bobbsey Twins," according to Entertainment Weekly.

Fans must brace themselves to meet this "charismatic" and street smart boy in the upcoming season premiere. Watch out for the pair's first encounter as it is described to be "wryly contentious and full of mutual sparks" with a promise of much more in the future. Gil is smart and enterprising. He is involved in petty crimes with his sister, the other twin Amanda (Aadila Dosani).

Nancy Drew Season 2, Episode 2 will air on Jan. 27 on The CW.
