'Nashville' Season 3 Spoilers: Episode 18 Synopsis Released Online; What Will Happen In 'Nobody Knows But Me'? [PHOTOS & VIDEO]

Christina Aguilera is about to get a little bit country. The “Voice” coach will guest star in “Nashville” Season 3, episode 18, and she’ll bring plenty of drama with her, according to the episode synopsis. As previously reported, she’ll play Jade St. John, a major pop star who wants to switch to country music. However, she also has a bit of romantic history in Music City. She'll have to face her ex-fiancé Jeff Fordham (Oliver Hudson).

Jeff declared that he wanted to try and make a real relationship work with Layla (Aubrey Peeples), but she doesn’t think he’s capable. So when Jade comes into town, Jeff will be “forced to revisit his past and work with the woman who once played a large role in both his personal and professional lives,” the synopsis teases. Considering Jeff hasn’t had a real relationship in years, the relationship probably didn’t end well. Does Jeff still harbor some hurt feelings?

Elsewhere, Deacon’s (Charles Esten) cancer will continue to upset his family. Though Maddie seemed to make progress in accepting his diagnosis in the last episode, she’ll once again have trouble dealing with the news. According to the synopsis, his illness is “a secret that weighs heavily on his family,” and Maddie might need someone outside of the family to talk to.

Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) will reveal her baby’s name (it’s either Cadence or Bella), and she is about to find out that motherhood isn’t an easy task. The country star wants to get straight back to work, but she “finds balancing motherhood and a music career challenging to say the least.” Her husband, Avery (Jonathan Jackson), will also find the balance of parenthood and touring difficult, especially since Scarlett (Clare Bowen) and Gunnar (Sam Palladio) will still be at each other’s throats. Scarlett is still angry that her songwriting partner only revealed his true feelings when she started to move on.
