“Nashville” Season 3 is adding new country stars, but they aren’t all fictional. Luke Bryan filmed a segment for the ABC drama on Friday. The country crooner was in New York City to appear on “Good Morning America’s” summer concert series. After his show and interview, he filmed a scene for “Nashville.”

It appears the audience was involved for the scene. Actress Connie Britton posted a picture with the country star on Instagram. She mentioned “Nashville” will be Bryan’s acting debut.

So far, no one is sure if Bryan will be performing on the country music drama, but Britton also posted a photo of herself on the “Good Morning America” stage. It appears her character, Rayna Jaymes, will be performing on the morning talk show in the world of “Nashville.”

According to fans on Tumblr, Rayna will be singing “This Time” to promote her new album. The “Good Morning America” scenes will reportedly be in the second episode. The photos on Tumblr also show Rayna with a sparkly rock on her left hand. It looks like further confirmation that Rayna turns down Deacon’s marriage proposal. Rayna will be engaged to Luke Wheeler.

Luke Bryan joins the likes of Brad Paisley, Vince Gill, Brantley Gilbert and plenty of other actual country stars who have had cameos in the ABC drama. The show actually films in Nashville, Tennessee, and uses real musicians and locations from the city onscreen. They’ll even be broadcasting performances from the premiere live from The Bluebird Café.
