‘Nashville’ Season 4 Spoilers: Kesha Appears In New Photos; Get Details On Her Role
Kesha might not be country, but she is still heading to “Nashville.” The “Die Young” singer will guest star on the ABC drama in May, and pictures have already been released from the episode. It looks like she’ll run into some of Music City’s finest on the red carpet.
In Season 4’s episode 19, titled “After You’ve Gone,” Kesha will meet Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) and Noah (Derek Hough). While the “Dancing With the Stars” alum is playing a fictional character, Kesha will be playing herself. “Juliette reunites with her ‘Shenandoah Girl’ co-star Noah West on the Oscar campaign trail, where she meets Kesha, who guest stars as herself,” the synopsis reveals.
Photos from the “Nashville” installment show Kesha at a red carpet event with Noah. Is the fictional version of herself also on the Oscar campaign trail or is she just having fun?
Hough and Kesha are just two of the many big name stars that will appear on “Nashville” in the second half of Season 4. Thomas Rhett appeared last week, and Elton John, as well as Kelsea Ballerini, are scheduled to show up later in the season.
Kesha, whose given name is Kesha Rose Sebert, is currently in a legal battle to be released from her recording contract with Dr. Luke. While she isn’t making new music, she seems to be focused on acting. Last year, she guest-starred on “Jane the Virgin” and played Pizazz in “Jem and the Holograms” alongside Aubrey Peeples, who plays Layla on “Nashville.”
“Yeah, I am [pursuing acting],” she told Entertainment Weekly in October. “It’s fun to explore different art mediums and right now my [music] career is kind of on hold. I’m finding other ways to express myself and have outlets and connect with my fans. I’m [also] kind of open to all of it.”
That doesn’t mean music is completely out of the picture. Kesha made a surprise appearance at Coachella to perform with Zedd on April 16 and has a handful of concerts scheduled throughout the summer.
Kesha’s episode of “Nashville” airs Wednesday, May 11, at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
