‘Nashville’ Season 5 Spoilers: Episode 10 Synopsis, Sneak Peek And Promo Video Released

Music City is in mourning. Rayna Jaymes died after complications from a car crash last week, and the heartbreaking scene of her family reacting was just the beginning of the tearjerker scenes. In “Nashville” Season 5, episode 10, the aftermath will leave everyone distraught.

Deacon (Charles Esten) will be one of the most despondent after Rayna’s (Connie Britton) death. Unfortunately, the return of Rayna’s ex Teddy (Eric Close) and her sister Tandy (Judith Hoag) will only make things worse. “A legal dispute threatens to break apart the family,” the synopsis for the CMT drama reveals.

The episode 10 promo video makes it clear that they’ll be fighting for custody of Maddie (Lennon Stella) and Daphne (Maisy Stella). It’ll take a toll on the girls, who are already stressed after watching their mother die. Watch Daphne worry about hurting everyone’s feelings in the trailer below:

Her sister Maddie is not going to be happy either. In a sneak-peek video, she runs to Deacon to tell him about Tandy and Teddy’s plans. He assures her that he will stop them, but it might not be up to Deacon.

Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) will try to return to the stage in episode 10, titled “I’ll Fly Away.” She wants to make her big comeback during the tribute to Rayna. “Juliette demands to perform at the CMT Music Awards,” the synopsis says. However, everything might not go as planned. Photos below show Maddie on stage with Juliette.

Not everything is sad in this episode. Will (Chris Carmack) and Zach’s (Cameron Scoggins) flirtation will continue, and they might finally do more than bashfully smile at each other. “Will and Zach are drawn closer together,” the summary teases.

Expect everyone to be affected by Rayna’s death, though. Even though Zach and Will weren’t super close with her, they’ll still be mourning. Those closer to the country star, like Juliette, Bucky (David Alford) and Scarlett (Clare Bowen), will have an even more difficult time. Episode 10 makes it clear that Rayna touched lives everywhere she went.
