National Daiquiri Day 2018: 6 Best Recipes For Delicious Summer Drinks
Summer is the perfect time to try out new drink recipes, but with so many delicious kinds out there, where do you start? Since Thursday is National Daiquiri Day, sipping on the sweet and refreshing cocktail might be the best way to go.
Enjoy National Daiquiri Day 2018 with these six heavenly recipes.
The Original Bacardí Daiquiri
Ingredients:
- 2 parts Bacardí Superior Rum
- 1 part fresh lime juice
- ¾ parts sugar
- Lime wheel garnish
For the daiquiri purists out there, there’s nothing like this classic Bacardí recipe on a summer day. A little shaking, a little straining and then a lot of enjoying.
Captain Rum Daiquiri
Ingredients:
- 1.25 oz Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum
- 1.75 oz sweet and sour mix
- 3 oz frozen strawberries
- 1 cup crushed ice
On those extra hot days, a blended cocktail is really the only drink to have. To make this daiquiri version, add all of the items into a blender and blend very well. Pour it into your favorite glass and garnish with a strawberry for another dose of sweetness.
Pineapple Daiquiri
Ingredients:
- 2 parts Malibu Original
- 1 part lime juice
- 1 part pineapple juice
- ½ part simple syrup
To make this fruity drink, fill a shaker with ice, add in all of the ingredients and shake until everything’s cold. Pour it out into an already-chilled cocktail glass before topping it off with a wedge of pineapple.
D’Usse Daiquiri
Ingredients:
- 2 oz D’Usse Cognac
- ¾ oz fresh lime juice
- ½ oz simple syrup
- Thin lime wheel
You’re making a daiquiri, but that doesn’t mean you have to use rum. Opt for D’Usse Cognac instead to give the common drink a bit of a twist. Just use a shaker with all of the ingredients, strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a lime for the special cocktail.
Malibu Tropical Banana Daiquiri
Ingredients:
- 2.5 parts Malibu Tropical Banana
- 1 part lime juice
Making a daiquiri doesn’t have to be complicated or involve a lot of ingredients. Malibu makes it easy with its tropical banana-flavored rum that only needs to be mixed with lime juice and ice and then strained into a glass for the perfect drink.
Japanese Daiquiri
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Santa Teresa 1796
- .75 oz red shiso simple syrup
- .25 oz lemon juice
- .25 oz yuzu concentrate
- Red or Green Shiso Leaf
You might’ve had daiquiris before, but probably none quite like this. Shake things up this National Daiquiri Day with this recipe that used the Venezuela-produced Santa Teresa rum. Once you’ve shaken all the items up together, pour it out and garnish with a slapped Shiso Leaf.
