National Hot Fudge Sundae Day 2022: Delicious Peanut Butter Hot Fudge Recipe
Pining for a cool ice cream treat in warm summer weather? it's just the right day to dig in--the National Hot Fudge Sundae Day is upon us again.
Nothing beats a sundae bowl drizzled with tempting hot fudge sauce. While thinking about hot fudge conjures up the image of chocolate sauce, there are still variations of the sauce that are worth a try, like the nutty peanut butter fudge.
A store-bought hot fudge fare is just enough to make a decent sundae, however, a homemade one proves to be even better in taste given the richness of the flavor and the easy process of making it.
To honor the National Hot Fudge Sundae Day, which falls on July 25 every year, below is a recipe for peanut butter hot fudge that will elevate a regular bowl of hot fudge. Making it is as easy as it gets. (Recipe courtesy: All Recipes)
Ingredients:
Reduced milk- 1 can
Peanut butter- 3/4 cups
Honey- 1/4 cup
Brown sugar- 2 tablespoons
Method:
Combine milk, peanut butter, honey, and brown sugar in a saucepan and bring it to a boil on medium-high heat. Cook and stir, scraping the sides and bottom of the saucepan with a rubber spatula. Once the sugar and peanut butter melt into the mixture, wait for the topping to thicken. The process should take 10-15 minutes to complete. Once you get the consistency you like, turn the heat off.
To make the occasion even more special, here are a few quotes about hot fudge that you'll want to share with your loved ones:
