Nothing can ever match a dog's love and loyalty for its owner. The spirited animals add so much light and laughter to our lives that we can't wait to get back home to spend time with them.

Almost without exception, every dog loves to roll over for a tummy rub, wag its tail and ask for pets, in a show of endless admiration for its master. To show them we truly care, we can kiss them or offer tasty treats every now and then. And, to remind us to hug our dogs with a bit more affection, there is a special day.

National Hug Your Dog Day, which is observed on April 10, is an important day for dog owners to cuddle their four-legged best friends for the love and memories they give every day. National Hug Your Dog Day was created by Ami Moore, the "Dog Whisperer of Chicago," to tell people about the significance of having a canine.
