Nothing gets better than knocking down a glass of classic margarita -- a mix of Tequila, a squeeze of lemon juice, and orange liquor -- after a long tiring day. In case you are looking to get a bit creative, fresh cranberries and coconut are the ideal options to turn to. This timeless and festive drink is often laced with external sweeteners such as corn or agave syrup.

Ingredients:

  • Tequila- 1 jigger
  • Lime juice- 2 tbsp
  • Water- 1/4 cups
  • Orange extract- 1/4 tbsp
  • Ice
  • Kosher salt
  • Lime wedge for garnish
  • Agave syrup or stevia

Procedure:

  • Take a cocktail shaker and combine tequila, lime juice, water, orange extract, agave syrup and some ice. Alternatively, you can blend them in a food processor until well combined
  • Give the ingredients a good shake if you aren't running them in a blender
  • Wet the rim of the margarita glass with lime juice
  • Pour crushed ice into the glass if desired. If not, simply pour the mixture into the glass and garnish with lemon wedges.
