National Peach Month 2018: 11 Easy Recipes To Make With The Fruit
August is almost over, but there’s still plenty of time to celebrate the fruit of the month: peaches! August is National Peach Month, with Aug. 22 being Eat a Peach Day and Aug. 24 being National Peach Pie Day. So it only makes sense to celebrate with some fun peach recipes. No worries if you’re not exactly Wolfgang Puck in the kitchen. These peach recipes are quick and easy.
1. Peach and Basil Salad: There’s nothing easier to make than a salad, and this recipe from A Spicy Perspective sounds light and refreshing. It only requires five ingredients: peaches, basil, honey, salt and lemon chevre.
2. Spiced Peach Muffins: If you just can’t wait for the tastes of fall, check out this King Arthur Flour recipe. The cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice will have you dreaming about pumpkin patches and sweater weather.
3. Peach Freezer Jam: Use this for toast, bagels or scones. Tastes Better From Scratch has an easy recipe that’s great for anyone with a surplus of peaches. It requires two pounds of the fruit.
