  • Chandler Parsons is in his first season with the Atlanta Hawks
  • The drunk driver was caught with an alcohol placed inside a 7Up bottle
  • The lawyers said that Parsons is having a hard time accepting what happened to him

The NBA career Atlanta Hawks forward Chandler Parsons is now up in the air as the 31-year old was hit with potential career-ending injuries when he was involved in a car crash caused by a drunk driver last week.

Per reports from ESPN, Morgan & Morgan, a law firm representing Parsons, said that the cager “suffered multiple severe and permanent injuries including a traumatic brain injury, disc herniation, and a torn labrum.”

Reports from TMZ Sports obtained an image of the wrecked 2017 Rolls Royce that Parsons was using. His lawyers John Morgan and Nick Panagakis released a statement about the situation of the Houston Rockets’ second-round pick in 2012 that could potentially won’t let Parsons play professional basketball ever again.

"The at-fault driver created utter chaos on the roadway, needlessly endangering the lives of countless motorists; he now stands charged with DUI, admitted drinking, had alcohol in the car with him, passed out after causing a three-car crash at 2:00 PM on a Wednesday in a busy intersection, seriously injuring and potentially ending Mr. Parsons' career as a professional athlete."

They also said that Parsons was at his healthiest when the accident happened and he’s also having a hard time accepting his fate that was caused by the drunk driver’s recklessness on the road. On the accident report, it was said that the drunk driver, who was charged with DUI, had alcohol with him inside a bottle of 7Up.

The medical team is working hard to bring him back to full recovery, though, the possibility of him returning to the hardcourt and play basketball again is still unclear. The lawyers are also working their part in making the involved parties accountable.

Parsons is currently in his ninth year as a pro and his first with the Hawks. He previously played for the Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, and the Memphis Grizzlies but was saddled with injuries.
