The NBA and Snapchat are teaming up once again to bring fans more content from some of their favorite teams.

The NBA and Snapchat have renewed their agreement which Snapchat covered weekly NBA games via Live, including events like the All-Star game and Finals. This means the league will triple the amount of its content on Snapchat during the 2016-2017 NBA season.

The league will also create more Live Stories and release a weekly Discover channel, for the 2016-2017 NBA season. The NBA is the second sports league - after the NFL - to have an exclusive Discover channel, which offers more storytelling features.

For NBA fans who are attending games throughout the season can also use creative tools in Snapchat: NBA-themed Bitmojis and Lenses. This is the first time Bitmoji and sports leagues have partnered for custom Bitmoji packs.

Snapchat users can also add scoreboard geofilters that update in near real-time with the current scores. According to TechCrunch, those filters generated 20 million views over 51 games last NBA season.

Starting on Oct. 25 for opening night, Snapchat users will be able to explore the first Discover edition and watch Live Story coverage of Kevin Durant’s first game as a Warrior, the Cleveland Cavaliers against the New York Knicks and the Cav’s ring ceremony, and a compilation of league and preseason chatter.

For Snapchat, the renewed deal with the NBA is its latest effort to bring more TV-like content to its app. Snapchat has partnered with every major sports league, including the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, PGA and NASCAR.
