Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr needs all the help he can get and that may happen soon. Kevon Looney is expected to return soon and help the cause of their broken lineup. Once cleared, the 23-year-old will lead a new-look frontcourt composed of Willie Cauley-Stein, Marquese Chriss and Omari Spellman.

On paper, this may not matter match. Through the years, Kerr has relied on his backcourt to do damage. But with Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry out, one adjustment could be upfront. Looney has proven himself as one of the future young stars but needs more polishing, NBC Sports reported.

At this point, the Warriors don't have much of a choice. Aside from Curry and Thompson, also on the injury list are Draymond Green and D'Angelo Russell. On the court, fans may hardly recognize this is as the same team who fared well the past five seasons. The Dubs are undergoing a season of change and Kerr faces a tough task ahead.

Losing Kevin Durant was quite big, same with Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston. But the reality of it all is that the Dubs need to start rebuilding at some point. The only problem right now is the Warriors did not foresee injuries to key players compounding their woes.

Right now, Kerr is shouldering the blame for the Warriors' woes. Some may agree while others may not. They are in a period of adjustment and one thing that hardly comes as a surprise is their ability to close out games. This was evident against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Golden State of Mind reported.

“Fourth quarter, when the pressure came, we didn't execute,” Kerr added. “That’s the next step for this young group. That’s what we’re aiming to improve on, as a group, the players but also the coaches. We have to do our part to put them in the best position to succeed.”

Up next for the Warriors are the Chicago Bulls. Chicago (6-12) has not been doing that well this NBA season too. The Dubs (3-5) have a golden opportunity to snag another win. Doing so would help although they still have a tall mountain to climb. The Warriors try to get a win against the Bulls at the Chase Center starting at 10:30 p.m. E.T.
