NBC’s ‘The Brave’ Series Premiere: Here’s Where You Know The Cast From
Mondays can be scary, but gather your courage and be brave.
Or, at least, check out NBC’s new military drama “The Brave,” which focuses on an elite military team captained by Adam Dalton (Mike Vogel), when it premieres Monday night .
Here’s the synopsis for the premiere episode:
“When American doctor Kimberley Wells (Guest Star Alix Wilton-Regan) gets kidnapped by a group with terrorist ties, Captain Adam Dalton (Mike Vogel) and his heroic Special Ops squad of highly trained undercover specialists must take action and stop at nothing to save her. Across the world, D.I.A. Deputy Director Patricia Campbell (Anne Heche) and her team of analysts guide Dalton along the way through as the group learns that Wells' disappearance might have ties to something that could be catastrophic. Also guest starring Kerem Can (Abu Al-Akmuti), Shereen Martin (Amara Baghdadi), Oliver Walker (Josh Wells) and Mbarek Mahmoudi (Burhan Baghdadi) .”
Before you catch Dalton and his team in action during the premiere, meet the actors behind the characters. Well, meet them again, since most likely you’ve seen them in plenty of other films and shows.
Mike Vogel (Captain Adam Dalton)
For the sitcom fans, you might know Vogel from his time on “Grounded for Life” as Dean Piramatti. For those who know great movies, you might know Vogel as the soccer star heartthrob Eric from “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.” For the ones who like good, short-lived shows, you’ll know Vogel as Dean from “Pan Am.” Or perhaps you know him as Dale from “Under the Dome.” Wherever you know him from, after Monday, you’ll know him as Captain Adam Dalton.
Natacha Karam (Jasmine ‘Jaz’ Khan)
This is Karam’s year. No, seriously. Her first acting credit was as Tamara on an episode of “Silent Witness” earlier this year and now she’s landed a major role in an NBC series. You might not have had a chance to see her in much before, but she’s more than making up for lost time in her new role.
Demetrius Grosse (Ezekiel “Preach” Carter)
A short stint on “Dexter,” “ER,” “Heroes” and a much longer stint on “Banshee,” “Justified,” “Game of Silence” and “Westworld,” means Grosse is somewhere in your head. You’ve seen him before, whether you remember it or not. While he’s memorable and you should know who he is, he’s about to prove just how memorable he truly is in this new series of his.
Noah Mills (Sgt Joseph “McG” McGuire)
Mills’ first credit was as Nicky in ‘Sex and the City 2” and there’s no better place to start your acting career than that. He’s been slowly building his acting credits since then, but this series is about to be his big break. So, watch him now to say you knew him when.
Hadi Tabbal (Agent Amir Al-Raisani)
It’s been a few one-off episodes of TV shows for Tabbal, but “The Brave” is changing all of that for him. He’s about to show his acting and action chops as an agent on the NBC series and will easily win viewers over as fans.
Anne Heche (Patricia Campbell)
It would take up less space to write out where you don’t know Heche from, but, alas, we’re not going to do that. Early on, she starred as Marley Love/Vicky Hudson on “Another World” before moving onto movies like “I Know What You Did Last Summer” and “Psycho.” Then it was back to TV for a stint on “Ally McBeal” as Melanie West. But perhaps you saw her when she played Amanda Hayes on “Everwood” or Jessica Haxon on “Hung.” Well, now you’ll see her as D.I.A. Deputy Director Patricia Campbell on “The Brave.”
Tate Ellington (Noah Morgenthau)
Fans of comedy shows will remember Ellington as Rob Gurglar from “The Mindy Project,” while others might know him as the former star of ‘Quantico,” where he played Simon Asher, opposite Priyanka Chopra. He recently was on “Shameless” as Chad. Now he’s mustering up all the courage he has for his “The Brave” character.
Sofia Pernas (Hannah Archer)
For fans of soaps, Pernas played Marisa Sierras on a few episodes of “The Young and the Restless.” She also recently took on the role of Catalina on The CW’s “Jane the Virgin.” Now, she’s ready for a bigger role as Hannah Archer on “The Brave.”
“The Brave” premieres on NBC on Monday at 10/9c.
