"NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 11 Episode 8 is bringing back a familiar face. The next installment will feature someone we haven't seen in a long time.

The eighth episode of the 11th season of "NCIS: LA" is titled "Love Kills" and it will see Callen (Chris O'Donnell), Sam (LL Cool J) and their team suspecting an old acquaintance. The agents will investigate the murder of a person who was about to give out highly sensitive information on a massive counterfeiting operation and it will bring them face to face with someone from the past.

The first look promises the return of Mariela Garriga as Pietra Ray. She was last seen in an episode titled "Forasteira" in Season 9. Once again, she will be teaming up with Callen and Sam.

The synopsis and the promo for the episode also hint at more struggles for Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen). The former LAPD officer is back to a training school where he must ace formal lessons of becoming an NCIS agent. However, things are not going that great for him as he continues to doubt his path and recent decision to join the academy.

"When NCIS investigates the murder of a man about to reveal the source of a massive counterfeiting operation, an old acquaintance becomes their prime suspect and reveals the true reason for her return. Also, Deeks struggles during training to become an official NCIS agent," reads the official synopsis.

While he is on the field training with other trainees, he will realize that he is much older than others, making it hard for him to keep up with them. Fans can expect to see a beautiful moment involving Kensi and Deeks as he seeks support from his wife.

"I'm not going to lie, baby, I'm actually struggling," he confesses to Kensi, according to a promo on ET. "It takes away your energy and your youth and your job and your bar and virility."

"NCIS: LA" Season 12 Episode 8 will air at 9 p.m. ET on Sunday on CBS. Fans can watch the live stream on CBS All Access after its television broadcast.
