KEY POINTS

  • “NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 12 will air in 2020

  • LL Cool J has promised it will keep fans on the edge of their seats

  • Callen may settle down with Anna

The crime fighting agents will be back in “NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 12. Cast members Chris O’Donnell and LL Cool J appeared in a new video that has been released by CBS online, where the actors teased an exciting new adventure on the show when it returns.

Production of the new season has yet to begin. Most of the TV shows and movies have postponed the start of production to stay safe during the coronavirus pandemic. However, CBS announced the lineup of all its shows in a video that has been released on Twitter.

The Sam and Callen actors also appear in the video to tease the timing of the show when it returns. “It’s another Season you will spend on the edge of your seat,” LL Cool J said.

Among the major storylines to look forward to on the show will be Callen’s transformation. As a kid, the character had to move around a lot and he never really got to be rooted in one place. He will now get a chance to do that after settling down with Anna (Bar Paly).

Co-executive producer Frank Military told TV Guide that Callen has evolved the most in the recent times when compared to the past 11 years of his journey. The producer said that O’Donnell is “opening up” about staying put in one location and settling down. There will be challenges before this becomes a permanent aspect of the veteran agent because, according to the producer, Callen’s relationship with Anna will be in jeopardy at some point.

Another relationship that will be tested on the show will be that of Kensi (Daniela Ruah) and Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen). The two characters are married after dating for years. In an interview with TV Insider, Military said that this relationship will be a “very interesting story.”

Kensi and Deeks are planning to have a baby, and according to Military that will not come about as if they can “flip a switch” and have a child. The family life will also place the couple in a dilemma about the jobs as agents.

“NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 12 will be released later this year. The producers are yet to announce an exact release date.
