Is ‘NCIS’ On Tonight? Season 16 Return Date Revealed
“NCIS” features our favorite government agents, but Tuesday night’s CBS programming will focus on the real government. The network has replaced its usual lineup with Election Day coverage.
CBS News is taking over on Tuesday night with their “Campaign 2018” special. It starts at 8 p.m. EST and is expected to last until 11 p.m. EST. That means “NCIS” isn’t the only show being delayed. New episodes of “FBI” and “NCIS: New Orleans” are also being held.
All three procedurals will return to the eye network on Tuesday, Nov. 13 with new episodes, and it sounds like each one will have an intense investigation.
In “NCIS” Season 16, episode 7, Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and the team will investigate some stolen art. “After a mural by a street artist and activist is stolen, the NCIS investigation leads to a conspiracy regarding a Navy contractor and the safety of ocean mammals,” the synopsis teases. “Also, Bishop (Emily Wickersham) shares a special connection with the street artist.”
Afterwards, CBS’ new fall hit “FBI” will return with Season 1, episode 7. The new installment will follow Maggie (Missy Peregrym) and OA (Zeeko Zaki) as they track down a group of car thieves. “Maggie and OA hunt down a ruthless group of robbers who are posing as NYPD officers to target armored trucks,” the logline reveals.
The “NCIS: New Orleans” agents aren’t dealing with stolen cars but exploding ones in Season 5, episode 7. “Following a deadly car explosion in the French Quarter, the NCIS team interrogates a professor and former member of a student protest organization,” the summary hints.
That, however, won’t be all viewers see. “Tammy (Vanessa Ferlito) discovers a secret about Hannah’s (Necar Zadegan) personal life” in episode 7, too.
It doesn’t seem like fans need to worry about any of the three shows disappearing for good. According to TV Series Finale, “NCIS” remains the top-rated drama on the network, averaging over 12 million viewers per week. “FBI” is holding onto much of that audience, snagging over 9 million pairs of eyeballs on average each week. “NCIS: New Orleans” isn’t quite as impressive, averaging only 7.76 million every Tuesday, but they’re still stable.
