Ne-Yo And Wife Crystal Smith Are Expecting Second Child Together: See Announcement

Another day, another exciting celebrity pregnancy announcement.

Ne-Yo and his wife Crystal Smith revealed on Wednesday that they are expecting their second child together.

The R&B singer shared the happy news with his followers with an Instagram post of his three kids – two with his former love Monyetta Shaw and one with wife Crystal – along with an empty spot with a question mark.

Though that alone would’ve been enough of a hint as to the news that Ne-Yo was trying to reveal, he made sure his fans knew exactly what was going on by spilling it all in his caption.

“Sooooooo.....guess who’s awaiting a NEW ARRIVAL,” he wrote. “ @itscrystalsmith and yours truly are happy to announce we are expecting! #NewAddition #ExtendingTheFamily.”

Shortly after, Crystal posted a side-by-side photo to Instagram of Ne-Yo caressing her baby bump and the two sharing a sweet kiss, along with a little bit more information about the pregnancy.

“We didn’t plan for you but you are Gods plan and I thank you for choosing us to be your parents,” she posted. “Impatiently awaiting our newest addition WE’RE PREGNANT!!! @neyo (I think he did it on purpose) joking! LOL.”

The couple currently star in E!’s new reality series, “The Platinum Life,” which premiered on Oct. 15 and follows the lives of wives and significant others of successful artists. Whether or not Crystal’s pregnancy will be included in this season of the show has yet to be seen, but there are still many more episodes left to air and for the answer to make itself known.

This show and pregnancy come after the two got married on Feb. 20, 2016 and welcomed their first child together, son Shaffer Chimere Smith Jr., in March 2016.

This isn’t Ne-Yo’s first time doing reality television, as he was recently a judge on the NBC’s “World of Dance” with Jennifer Lopez and Derek Hough. This series is a bit different, though, as it focuses on Ne-Yo’s life instead of dancers competing on a stage.
