“365 DNI’s” male lead Michele Morrone reveals whether the featured sex scenes in the movie were staged or authentic.
Since its recent debut on Netflix, the Polish erotica drama film directed by Barbara Białowas and Tomasz Mandes, has amassed large viewership and mass appeal for its daringly intimate takes. The movie has reportedly been topping the chart annals on Netflix, causing a stir amongst viewers across the globe.
Largely based on the first novel of a trilogy by Blanka Lipińska, this steamy film follows a Sicilian mafia boss, Massimo Torricelli (played by Michele Morrone), who imprisons Laura Biel (played by Anna Maria Sieklucka), a young Warsaw woman, giving her only 365 days to fall in love with him.
The seemingly passive relationship eventually develops, where Laura evinces feelings of affection for the dominant Massimo. The movie spirals into outrightly hot and racy events that even fans are gushing that the featured sex scenes between both Laura and Massimo were real.
In a recent interview with Variety, Bartek Cierlica, the film’s cinematographer, recently dished out details on how they made the love scenes look “authentic.” And now male lead “365 DNI” Morrone, is confirming whether or not the raunchy takes were faked when he replied to a fan query online.
“It seems like real because we are good actors,” the 29-year-old Italian native said with fellow co-star Sieklucka on Instagram Live on April. “It wasn’t real. I know that many people write me that, ‘Oh my god, it was real!’ But at the same time, it wasn’t real. That’s impossible.”
Meanwhile, as per movie cinematographer Bartek, the X-rated scenes in the movie seemed realistic because of the “intimate atmosphere” they had curated for the actors, which they started by reducing the on-set crew to an “absolute minimum.”
"As it was handheld I was following their action, and trying to show their passion in a natural but beautiful way,” Bartek shared. “We wanted this sex to be pretty authentic."
"We wanted the viewer to hear their whispers, heavy breaths and we wanted to show the sweat, passion. Be natural, authentic, but not to cross the border of pornography."
