Update: Netflix has announced that the outage is over, and that normal service should resume for all users. The company did not say what caused the issue.

Netflix is down right now, but the streaming service has not announced what is wrong, or when it will be fixed. The Netflix home page returns a blank page for users, while other parts of the site give an error message.

Netflix is currently not working on the Web, or on mobile devices including apps for Android and iPhone. The service is also down on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles, as well as the PlayStation 3, PS4 and a number of other devices, including the Roku and Chromecast.

Netflix confirmed that the issue is affecting users around the world, but claims it's only affecting some of them. The streaming service now accounts for more than 35 percent of all Internet traffic in the U.S.
