Ahead of its release this Fall, Netflix has offered fans a first look at Henry Cavill in its upcoming series, “The Witcher.”

Netflix released the first set of promotional images from the dark fantasy series on Monday, offering a proper look at Cavill as the titular monster hunter, Geralt of Rivia. The images also included looks at Anya Chalotra and Freya Allen as Yennefer and Ciri, respectively.

“The Witcher” was originally a dark fantasy series of short stories and books by Swedish author Andrzej Sapkowski. The series, set on an unnamed continent, follows the exploits of Geralt as one of the world’s Witchers, bounty hunters who specialize in monster hunting. Throughout his journey’s Geralt finds himself also sucked into conflicts between kingdoms and mysterious forces that threaten him and the people he cares for.

The series has also been adapted into a critically acclaimed series of games by developer CD Projekt Red, the most recent being 2015’s “The Witcher III: Wild Hunt.”

While the pictures don’t offer much in the way of spoilers, they do reflect the design choices by Netflix for the show. Fans of the games will recognize Cavill’s look as Geralt, which looks strongly influenced by his appearance in the games. Yennefer and Ciri are more loosely adapted, blending aspects of the characters from the books and the games to create their look.

Fans took to Twitter to express their joy with Cavill’s appearance and the early look at the show.

Some people did decide to have some fun with the first images, though.

Netflix is expected to show off more of “The Witcher” at Hall H during San Diego Comic Con.
