Netflix Titles Leaving In November 2018: Best Movies Disappearing From Streaming Service
Netflix is doing some monthly cleaning again, and that means several of your favorite films will be leaving. Check out these films before they disappear from the streaming service in November.
“Amelie” (leaving Nov. 1) This 2001 romantic comedy, which disappears from Netflix at the beginning of the month, follows the titular character (Audrey Tautou), a mischievous waitress who is pretty lonely. She decides to come up with complex schemes to improve the lives of people around her, but when will she make herself truly happy?
“Cruel Intentions” (leaving Nov. 1) This dark 1999 teen drama stars Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Phillippe, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair. Stepsiblings Kathryn (Gellar) and Sebastian (Phillippe) have a cruel bet to see which virgins Sebastian can seduce. He doesn’t plan to actually fall in love with one of his conquests.
“Jurassic Park” (leaving Nov. 1) The 1990 Steven Spielberg-directed film that launched the successful franchise will leave Netflix along with the second and third installments. The first film introduces Isla Nublar, the island where scientists have recreated long-extinct dinosaurs for a theme park. Of course, dinos aren’t so much fun once when the park’s power and safety precautions are shut down. The film earned three Oscars.
“The Land Before Time” (leaving Nov. 1) For some less intense dinosaur drama, check out this animated classic. The 1988 flick follows herbivore Littlefoot (Gabriel Damon), an orphan who goes to find the Great Valley in hope of being reunited with his kind. He makes a bunch of new friends on his journey, but the dinosaur who killed his mom hasn’t forgotten about him.
“Up In The Air” (leaving Nov. 1) Ryan (George Clooney) is a corporate downsizer. He goes to companies around the country to fire people every day. He sets out to show his new co-worker Natalie (Anna Kendrick) that face-to-face firings are necessary, but with his travel budget getting cut, Ryan might have to face settling down in one place. The drama was nominated for six Oscars.
“Paddington” (leaving Nov. 16) A young bear (Ben Whishaw) finds himself in London after his Peruvian home is destroyed. Luckily, the Browns (Hugh Bonneville and Sally Hawkins) give him a home. Paddington must watch out for a sneaky taxidermist, though.
