Netflix Unveils First-Look Photos Of 'Outer Banks' Season 3: When Will It Release?
Netflix has dropped the much-awaited first-look photos of "Outer Banks" Season 3. It also revealed the show's release date.
Season 3 of the crime drama series will release on Feb. 23. It will consist of 10 episodes. The official Twitter handle of the streaming giant shared a series of photos featuring the characters John B, Sarah Cameron, Kiara Carrera, Pope, JJ and Cleo.
In the first photo, John (Chase Stokes), Sarah (Madelyn Cline) and Kiara (Madison Bailey) can be seen looking at something (not shown in the photo) in the middle of a desert and giving mixed reactions. While John and Kiara looked happy, Sarah appeared worried.
The second photo showed Pope (Jonathan Daviss), JJ (Rudy Pankow), Topper (Austin North) and Cleo (Carlacia Grant) hiding behind the grass on a field. In another image, Kiara can be seen walking down the stairs wearing a beautiful maroon dress.
The first season of the action-crime drama was dropped on April 15, 2020. The second season premiered on July 30, 2021.
"After losing the gold and fleeing the Outer Banks, Season 3 finds the Pogues washed ashore on a desert island that, for a brief moment, seems like an idyllic home," the synopsis of "Outer Banks" Season 3 read, Variety reported. "But things quickly go south for John B, Sarah, Kiara, Pope, JJ, and Cleo when they find themselves once again caught up in a race for the treasure, quite literally running for their lives."
After the release date was revealed Tuesday, some Twitter users were happy that the series was coming back with a new season, while others blamed Netflix for canceling series like "1899."
Earlier this week, the co-creators of Netflix's mystery thriller "1899" announced the show would not be renewed. It did not go well with the fans of the series and they started a petition asking Netflix to reconsider its decision.
