Netizens Discuss Prince Charles, Prince Edward, Prince Andrew Sexuality
Prince Charles', Prince Andrew's and Prince Edward’s sexualities have been questioned by some netizens.
One netizen asked on the online forum Quora if the Prince of Wales is a closeted gay. The response from different online users revealed that even Prince Andrew's and Prince Edward’s sexualities had been put to a question at one point.
According to Gina Seldarius, a self-confessed part-time watcher of the royals, “all three of the Queen’s sons had their sexuality questioned at one time or another.” The rumors have it that Prince Andrew’s marriage had broken down, so he could be gay. Prince Edward has been in the entertainment industry so he might be homosexual as well. And Prince Charles reportedly didn’t fall madly in love with his first wife, so he could be gay too.
However, Gina doesn’t believe the rumors about the Prince of Wales', Duke of York's and Earl of Wessex’s sexualities. “While none of us has held the lamp in the royal bedchambers, I'm pretty confident that Prince Charles happens to like women. Don't believe everything you read, kids,” she wrote.
Meanwhile, Barton had a different opinion. He believed that at least one of them is gay.
“For what it's worth, the rumor I've heard is that Charles is ploddingly straight and has always been in love with Camilla, and Edward is a theatre geek but completely straight as well. Rather the gay one is Andrew,” he wrote.
Jon Mixon also said he believes that it’s “exceptionally unlikely” for Prince Charles to be gay because he has been linked to several women but no men. Thus, “Prince Charles is almost certainly straight,” he concluded.
Joe Geronimo also heard the rumors about Prince Charles and Prince Edward being gay. He thought that it would be cool to have openly gay royals. However, he doesn’t think that this is happening soon.
In related news, Prince Andrew received an honor from Queen Elizabeth II that was deemed to be a “deliberate snub” to Prince Charles. Her Majesty appointed the Duke of York as the Colonel of the Regiment of the Grenadier Guards that put him at the center of the most important events in the royal calendar.
In 2012, the Prince of Wales denied Prince Andrew and his family the opportunity to join them on the Buckingham balcony for the Queen’s Jubilee year. An insider said that Prince Philip would have not approved it if he was there, but the Duke of Edinburgh missed it because he was sick.
