Chrissy Teigen received flak from netizens after her recent post on mental health. The 35-year-old model took to Instagram on Wednesday to share with fans an update on her mental health. However, the post wasn't well-received by many people.

Netizens took to Twitter to share their reaction to Teigen's post.

One of the users tweeted, "Very depressed Chrissy Teigen wants to let us all know how depressed she is b/c she’s a hateful twat & now she can’t have fun being a twat on social media anymore. She also said she needs time off her couch even though she was just in Italy with family and friends for 2 weeks."

Another user noted, "Chrissy Teigen has over 13 million followers on Twitter and she’s penning letters about how sad she is to be canceled. The madness has to stop."

Many netizens also accused Teigen of being desperate for social media attention. One of the users wrote, "How can Christy Teigen be that desperate for social media attention to the point of depression. Give me Chrissy Teigen's money. Y'all would NEVER see me again."

Another user compared Teigen's sadness with the current situation in Cuba and wrote, "Cubans are being slaughtered by their government in the streets but did you know that Chrissy Teigen is sad because nobody is paying attention to her on Instagram anymore?"

The model came under fire after the Instagram post in which she spoke about depression and cancel culture.

"Just feels so weird to pretend nothing happened in this online world but feel like utter sh-t in real life," Teigen wrote in a lengthy Instagram post. "Going outside sucks and doesn’t feel right, being at home alone with my mind makes my depressed head race."

"Cancel club is a fascinating thing and I have learned a whollllle lot," she added. "Only a few understand it and it’s impossible to know till you’re in it. And it’s hard to talk about it in that sense because obviously you sound whiney when you’ve clearly done something wrong. It just sucks. There is no winning. But there never is here anyhow. All I know is I love you guys, I miss you guys, and I just needed an honest moment with you because I’m just...tired of being sick with myself all day."

In May, she apologized to fellow model Courtney Stodden for her comments after Stodden revealed that Teigen "would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself. Things like, 'I can't wait for you to die.'"

Fashion designer Michael Costello also came forward in a now-deleted June 14 Instagram post and explained how he was still "traumatized" because of Teigen's alleged bullying in 2014.

"For the past 7 years, I've lived with a deep, unhealed trauma," he wrote on Instagram. "I wanted to kill myself and I still am traumatized, depressed and have thoughts of suicide."
