A Nevada inmate was sentenced to over four years in prison on Monday when he threatened to kill a federal judge and her family.

According to court documents, David Jerry Paule, 49, threatened a judge through three letters in 2017 and demanded a lawsuit to be reinstated after it was dismissed in 2016 by Paule and other parties, Washington Times reported.

The judge he threatened is assigned to federal cases in Nevada so a federal judge from Washington state and federal prosecutors from California presided over his case.

He previously pleaded guilty to one count of a three-counts indictment and is currently serving multiple life terms as habitual criminal offender at the High Desert State Prison in Clark County.
