New Evidence Reportedly Hints 'Silent Hill' Revival Game Coming Soon
KEY POINTS
- Rumors about "Silent Hill" reboot have been making rounds online since the first quarter of this year
- Konami recently shared a cryptic tweet, which many fans believe could be about the rumored title
- A new potential proof reportedly backs that Konami and Sony are working on a "Silent Hill" reboot
New proof seemingly hinting that Konami and Sony are working on a "Silent Hill" reboot recently surfaced online. Over the past months, leaks and rumors surrounding the horror title's arrival have been spreading online. While this could be just a coincidence or Konami simply trolling fans, many believe that gaming studio is up to something related to "Silent Hill."
"Silent Hill" has now an official Twitter account, which at the moment has no blue checkmark. However, it was linked to the official account of game developer Konami. The account was created a few weeks ago and has been tweeting about the game's crossover with "Dead By Daylight."
Many fans are now wondering if the "Silent Hill" Twitter account made solely for that purpose. Several gaming sites have been reporting that a new "Silent Hill" game could be announced soon. That "Silent Hill" Twitter account could be buried along with other unverified accounts but it is interesting that Konami casually directed fans to it.
Some believe that the gaming studio is deliberately making people aware of the account to hype the game. Recently, the game developer's official Twitter account shared a tweet with texts, "Close Your Eyes. Always Scary. Silent Hill 2 Siren." Fans immediately inquired why Konami is tweeting about "Silent Hill," considering that there were rumors about a new "Silent Hill" title.
Konami was quick to shoot down speculations and said, "Easy there internet. We were watching streams of Dead By Daylight and thought we would share the noise and feel of being hunted. We wont take the tweet down and "backpedal", we just wanted you to enjoy it." In another tweet, Konami said
"We are sorry we got people fired up." It then directs fans to the new Twitter account mentioned earlier saying "Anything official would come from first from @SilentHill or an event or something, not from us. We were just being fans and enjoyed the noise/memories. Sorry everyone, did mean to kill your Friday mood."
It is worth mentioning that there is no material announcement in the series of tweets from Konami. At this point, it is hard to conclude on anything especially when there is no solid proof of the game's existence. Will fans see the announcement of the "Silent Hill" reboot at the next State of Play?
