New iPhone 6S Photos Reveal Front Panel; Mass Production Of Force Touch Parts Begin
The iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus will look much like the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus that were released last September. So indicate fresh photos of the internal parts of the 2015 Apple flagship that have surfaced.
The leaked photos published on Nowhere Else, a French blog, indicate that the flex cables have been modified to take up less space. One of the images shows the front panel of an alleged iPhone 6S handset. The display of the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus are expected to be enabled with Force Touch technology.
Digitimes reports that mass production of the Force Touch components has started. It also states that around 36 million to 40 million of the iPhone handsets will be manufactured by September and about 50 million by the end of the year.
According to 9 to 5 Mac, the new iPhone 6S models will arrive with an updated NFC chip that may come with a secure element processor. The logic board of the iPhone 6S is slightly smaller in size and it accommodates fewer chips. This will allow the IPhone 6S to deliver faster performance with fewer power-consuming parts.
The photo of the camera ring indicates that it is slightly jutting out. But it is not known whether the iPhone 6S will arrive with a protruding camera like the one present on the iPhone 6, BGR reported. The iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus will be available in three internal storage variants of 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB. The leaked photos also reveal a Touch ID Home button that seems to be similar to the one present on the predecessor handset.
Like the 2014 flagships, the iPhone 6S will come with 4.7 inches display and the iPhone 6S Plus will be arriving with 5.5 inches display. Other speculated features of the coming iPhone 6S models include the Apple A9 chipset, 2 GB of RAM, and an upgraded camera of 12 MP.
Rumors suggest that the new iPhones will be launched on Sept. 25 and both the handsets will be unleashed in a new rose gold color variant. As of this writing, Apple has not announced any details on its coming iPhones.
