New Jersey Mayor Accused in Male Prostitute Sex Scandal
A New Jersey mayor is facing a sex scandal after someone claiming to be a disgruntled male prostitute posted pictures of him sleeping in his underpants to the Internet.
Chris Myers, the Republican mayor of Medford, is alleged to have paid $500 to hire the prostitute while in California last year.
The prostitute alleges Myers, who is married with two children, promised to buy him a car and a recording studio but failed to do so, prompting him to set up a Web site detailing their alleged encounter.
The Web site also featured photographs of Myers, 46, asleep on a hotel bed wearing only a pair of blue Calvin Klein briefs. I believed Mr. Myers's promises but before leaving I took pictures and video just to make sure someone would believe me if he was proved a liar, the man said in a graphic account of the meeting.
The mayor, a former congressional candidate, reacted furiously to the allegations. This is absolutely crazy, he told The Burlington County Times.
